Anthony D. Cornetto, III, P.E.

Professional Summary

Mr. Cornetto is a forensic mechanical engineer and an accident investigator and reconstructionist. 


He is licensed as a Professional Engineer in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and North Carolina. 


He received a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Science and Mechanics, with a minor in Mathematics and a concentration in biomechanics, and a Master's degree in Engineering Mechanics, with a concentration in biomechanics, from Virginia Tech. 


He has over 18 years of experience in accident investigation and reconstruction and failure analysis. 


He is responsible for managing and conducting the investigation and analysis of accidents involving vehicles, pedestrians, industrial equipment, construction site safety, workplace safety, and mechanical systems/equipment failures.

     

He holds a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certification as a Remote Pilot for Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).


He has conducted research and co-authored numerous papers in the areas of engineering and accident reconstruction.  

 

Mr. Cornetto has extensive expertise in the use of the HVE vehicle dynamics and crash simulation software.
